And there is too much money in a national championship for it to go away.

I am a Utah alum. I have only heard the idea that people in Utah prefer the ACC from internet talking sports heads. Utah fans are thrilled to be in the Big12. I hated to see the PAC12 collapse but I really think that most Utah fans believe that the Big12 is a perfect fit for Utah football.

Sigh, more gossip and what if. ACC needs to expand to survive? That's as obvious that anything can get. However, the Big 12 is poised to be the most enjoyable (therefore marketable) conference week to week, and the Big 12 is currently rather well run. The ACC can't say either of those right now, which is also partly why the ACC isn't likely to remain viable unless ESPN decides to do something radical to save it. The only reason ESPN cares at all is UNC and Duke basketball. And the rumor actually didn't say the ACC may steal WVU and TCU, only that the ACC might want to do so. That comes under the heading of wish in one hand and crap in the other and see which gets filled first. It's not a story.

VT football may have had some rough years, but we have the best fan base in the nation and sold out most games over the last 20 years. We also have a huge rivalry with WV that has a trophy attached to it. (Black Diamond) As a VT fan. We are the best acc fit for the Big 12 My opinion; SEC will take FSU, Clemson Big 12 will take VT and NC State. Big Ten will take UNC, Duke, Virginia. (All research schools which is basically a requirement for big 10.) Standford, SMU, Louisville, Miami will stay in the ACC. The ACC will get the rest of the PAC 2 and purge a bunch of schools from the Sunbelt + Mountain West. The ACC will get huge payouts from the schools that leave and still be a power conference.

The B1G is far more superior in defense than the B12. It doesn't matter about the talent for OSU, because teams like UofM, Oregon, and PSU can match defensively, especially Michigan! Idk, McCord had better stats than him.

I don’t mind the bluebonnet bowl as a name but not for this. There was a historic bluebonnet bowl that I think is a better name than its replacement, the Texas Bowl

This is how I felt when they started changing the names of the bowl games. Citrus Bowl became the Capital One Bowl, Allstate Sugar Bowl, etc.

College Sports are being destroyed. Not if When.

Although it came out of necessity, at WVU every single recruit/player just means more. WVU has built a very successful program with that culture. All their tools, methods and resources strongly support that culture. It will always be a winning formula and maybe more so now, despite NIL dollar differences, to attract, develop and retain those very special, winning, highly talented, team-oriented, strong leadership, no off-field issues, NFL- ready, type players. What about those programs in talent rich states? How much is each recruit and player valued? What about programs that start to rely on their NIL? What vital steps of a recruit's development will they start to miss? Will those programs not waste resources when new recruits show threads of discontent so early? Will those programs have trouble developing team culture, brotherhood, camaraderie? It was already happening before NIL. One thing is for sure . . . college football is fucking awesome.

UNC and Duke are not connected. UNC-Duke basketball will be played every year. Only question is 1 or 2 times a year. They are 8 miles apart. Almost every state has rivals in difference conferences. SEC wants UNC. They may also want Duke to increased their basketball footprint. There is a chance they want Duke, UNC and Kansas. That is 3 Blue Bloods added that to a 4th Blue Blood Kentucky. That is a Final Four right there.

This is so far from the truth, notice the BIG12 kids started this conversation… first of all, the ACC contract is air tight unlike other conferences. Clemson and FSU will go broke before they leave in 2036. UNC is just sitting back watching… no conference has approached them. The ACC has won every court case so far…
